Anchorage area hunters and fishermen will have a rare opportunity Saturday to hear from many of the conservation organizations defending sportsmen’s rights in Alaska.

The Sportsmen’s Rendezvous, themed “Preserving Our Heritage,” is a joint effort of seven organizations that share common vision, but have seldom met with the public as a group.  The 4-hour series of speakers will be at The Center, 4855 Arctic Blvd. in Anchorage.

Participating groups include the Alaska Chapter of Safari Club International, Alaska Wild Sheep Foundation, Kenai River Sportfishing Association, Alaska Outdoor Council, National Rifle Association, National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses, and Sportsman’s Conservation Alliance Political Action Committee.
