 A number of Alaska Fish & Game advisory committees are meeting this week and next, to discuss pending and possible changes in fishing and hunting regulations.  These meetings are always open to the public and sportsmen are encouraged to attend, to learn and comment on issues of concern.
With the Alaska Board of Fisheries meeting in mid-October to discuss pending pink salmon hatchery stockings and a request to stop additional stockings, these advisory meetings are a good opportunity for comment.
The Anchorage Fish & Game Advisory Committee will hold an organizational meeting on Tuesday, October 2nd at the King Technical High School (formerly King Career Center) located at 2650 E Northern Lights Blvd at 6:30 pm.  Agenda will include election of chair, discussion of student membership, comment on BOF ACRs (if any) and any other business that may properly come before the committee.

The Copper River/Prince William Sound Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet Tuesday, October 2, 2018 @ 6:30 PM at the PWS Aquaculture Corporation Conference Room, 500 Main Street, Cordova, to consider upcoming Board of Fisheries Work Session ACRs. The Homer Fish & Game Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the KBRR building located at 2181 Kachemak Drive at 6 pm. Agenda will include discussion of game proposals for unit 15 and other regions as applicable to the current cycle.   For more information contact Dave Lyon at 399-2340.

The Susitna Valley Fish & Game Advisory Committee will meet on Wednesday, October 10th at 6 pm at the location TBD   in order to get the results of the summer 2018 fishing season, organize for the upcoming meeting cycle, and any other business that may properly come before the committee. The Seward Fish & Game Advisory Committee will meet ThursdayOctober 18, 2018 @ 7 p.m. in the Seward City Council chambers, located at 410 Adams St.   Agenda will include a report on Board of Fisheries worksession, fish and game proposals, and any other items of interest.  The public is invited to address any concerns they have.  For more information contact Jim McCracken at 362-3701.

The Seldovia Fish & Game Advisory Committee will meet on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 6 pm in the City Multi-purpose Room located at 260 Seldovia Street. Agenda will include: Joint Board Proposals 20 and 22; Board of Fisheries Proposals 166 and 171; Board of Game from Proposal 60 to 91 to include proposals on Moose, Goats, Ptarmigan, and Discharge of “certain” weapons within ½ mile of any residence and any other business that may properly come before the committee.  The public is encouraged to attend.  For more information contact Michael Opheim at 240-0568.
